What we collect
- Account data — name, email address, password hash, sign-in provider (e.g. Google).
- Learning data — courses you enrol on, lesson progress, quiz attempts and scores, certificates issued.
- Purchase data — orders you place, membership status, and organisation you belong to (if applicable). Card details are handled by our payment provider and never stored on our servers.
- Support and enquiry data — anything you send us via the contact form or email.
- Technical data — IP address, device and browser information, and basic analytics events used to operate and improve the Services.
How we use it
- To provide and secure the platform, learning content and certificates.
- To process orders, memberships and event registrations.
- To send service emails (sign-up confirmation, password reset, receipts, course updates).
- To respond to your enquiries and provide customer support.
- To understand how the Services are used and improve them.
- To meet our legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
Legal bases
We rely on: (a) performance of a contract with you to deliver courses and services; (b) our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Services; (c) your consent for optional marketing where required; and (d) our legal obligations.
Sharing your data
We do not sell personal data. We share data with trusted processors who help us run the Services, under written data processing agreements. These currently include our hosting and database infrastructure provider, our email delivery provider, and (once enabled) our payment processor. Where processors operate outside the UK/EU, we rely on appropriate transfer safeguards such as UK International Data Transfer Agreements or EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Cookies and analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. Where we use analytics, we do so in a privacy-conscious way and never sell analytics data. You can control cookies in your browser settings.
How long we keep data
We keep account and learning data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards to defend legal claims, comply with tax rules, or issue duplicate certificates on request. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
Your rights
You have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise any right, email privacy@learnbids.com. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe we have handled your data incorrectly.
Security
We use industry-standard technical and organisational controls, including encryption in transit, access controls, and role-based permissions in the learning platform. No online service can be guaranteed 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password.
Children
The Services are intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
